Coverage for You & Your Traveling Companions

Perhaps the most important area of coverage when it comes to travel insurance benefits, coverage for travelers provides Emergency Medical, Evacuation, and AD&D coverage.

Emergency Medical

Accident & Sickness Medical Expense can provide reimbursement for emergency medical expenses you paid out of pocket while traveling.

 

One Call 24-Hour Assistance Services

You may need concierge services, interpretation services, or emergency assistance when traveling. One Call International is a non-insurance service included in all TravelSafe Vacation Protection plans.

It provides 24-Hour Assistance with a broad range of services. If you have a medical emergency, need legal assistance, need emergency travel arrangements, cash transfers, or real time weather reports, One Call can help

 

Accidental Death & Dismemberment

TravelSafe provides cash payment as a result of an injury occurring during your trip. For example, if you tragically lose a limb or your life.

Emergency Medical Evacuation & Repatriation

If you suffer and illness or injury while traveling, are in critical condition, and, for whatever reason, adequate medical treatment is not be available in the immediate area. Emergency Medical Evacuation will arrange to medically transport you to an appropriate medical facility. Furthermore, if you need to return home for proper or long-term care, Medical Repatriation will arrange for your transportation. Repatriation of Remains will arrange for the return of your remains should you die abroad.

 

Non-Medical Emergency Evacuation

This benefit will arrange transportation so you can get to safety in the event of natural disaster or political, civil, or military unrest at your travel destination. The evacuation must be a formal recommendation by the U.S. Department of State.

 

 

Air Flight Only Accidental Death & Dismemberment

This optional benefit provides cash payment should you lose your life or a limb while a passenger in an aircraft.

Coverage for Your Trip

You may have to cancel your trip due to unforeseen reasons. Maybe bad weather keeps your flight from departing, which causes you to miss a connection. These travel insurance benefits provide coverage for these scenarios, so you don’t have to carry the unexpected costs alone.

Trip Cancellation

Trip Cancellation provides repayment for non-refundable trip payments and deposits. For example, if you have an ear infection and your doctor recommends you do not fly, you would be covered by this benefit. 

 

Trip Interruption

Trip Interruption provides repayment for non-refundable trip payments and deposits.

 

Travel Delay

Travel Delay reimburses you for accommodations, meals, and local transportation expenses when you are unexpectedly delayed while on your trip.

Itinerary Change

Itinerary Change is designed to reimburse you for non-refundable travel payments you’ve already made when your travel supplier changes their itinerary.

 

Missed Connection

Missed Connection gives you reimbursement for the additional costs to get you to you final destination. Your arrival at your trip destination must be delayed by 3 hours or more. 

 

Cancel For Any Reason

You may want to cancel your travel plans for reasons not covered in your policy. Cancel For Any Reason provides reimbursement up to 75% for non-refundable trip payments and deposits when you cancel your trip for reasons not covered within your policy. This is an optional benefit not available with every plan.

Coverage for Your Things

From lost baggage to damaged sports rental equipment. There are options for you in our plans. Our basic coverage includes things like Baggage Delay while you can add Extended Personal Property for even more coverage.

Baggage & Personal Effects

If your baggage or personal items are lost, stolen, or damaged while on your trip, the Baggage And Personal Effects benefit can help cover the costs it takes to replace them. You’ll be covered for the entire length of your trip.  

 

Baggage Delay

This allows for reimbursement for the cost of clothing and personal articles purchased by you if your baggage is delayed upon your arrival. The delay does, however, have to be of 12 hours or more to qualify.

Extended Personal Property Benefits

Should you choose to do so,  you can purchase extra coverage for personal property you bring along with you on your travels. The Extended Personal Property Benefit will cover baggage and personal effects. Furthermore, exclusions for things like computers and professional equipment are amended.

 

Rental Car Damage

You may plan on renting a car while traveling so you may want to purchase Rental Car Damage coverage.
