How Cancel for Any Reason Works

Cancel For Any Reason is a great benefit to add onto the Classic plan. It helps travelers provide extra coverage for what ifs that Trip Cancellation doesn’t cover. Things like fear of contracting a pandemic like Zika virus, less than great surfing conditions, and a bad breakup are all things Cancel For Any Reason will cover that Trip Cancellation won’t.

When to Buy Cancel for Any Reason

Cancel For Any Reason is time-sensitive. This mean you must purchase your policy within 21 days of your initial trip deposit to add it onto your plan.

Insuring Full Trip Cost

You must insure 100% of the prepaid trip costs that are subject to cancellation penalties or restrictions. It’s important you do this within 21 days of the payment or deposit for those travel arrangements added to your trip. If you do not insure the full cost of your trip, your Cancel For Any Reason claim will be denied.

When to Cancel

If you want to use your Cancel For Any Reason benefit, you’ll need to cancel your trip 2 days or more before your scheduled departure date.

Not Every State is Eligible

State regulations can be tough to navigate and balance out. For that reason, some states don’t want Cancel For Any Reason to be available in their state. We’ll let you know if Cancel For Any Reason isn’t available to your state.

Important Plan Information

The Cancel For Any Reason Benefit is subject to: 1) You purchasing of the Classic Plus Plan within 21 days of the date of Your original Trip deposit; 2) You insuring 100% of the cost of all Travel Arrangements that are subject to cancellation penalties or restrictions; and 3) You canceling Your Trip two (2) days or more before Your Scheduled Trip Departure Date. If You cancel Your Trip for a covered reason, You will be reimbursed for 100% of the cost of Your prepaid, non-refundable Travel Arrangements (limited to the amount of coverage purchased) and is not available to New York residents.
